Alissa L. Van Horn, Esq., serves as the managing partner of Van Horn & Friedman, P.C., she earned her Bachelor's in Science for Public Administration from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, and her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.

A seasoned family law attorney, Alissa has extensive experience with cases involving divorce, adoption, custody, child support, orders of protection, foster care litigation, name changes, prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation agreements. Alissa volunteers her time in the community by coordinating free legal seminars with other professionals to assist in educating individuals involved in family and matrimonial matters, and is a member of various online groups to further assist individuals in need.

Meredith Friedman, Esq., is a managing partner of Van Horn & Friedman, P.C., she has received her B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her Juris Doctor from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Meredith is active in the legal community, and is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

While it is generally her goal to obtain harmonious resolutions, Meredith aggressively advocates on behalf of her clients when the other side is uncooperative. She values clear communication with her clients about their goals and how the legal process works, and helps them to address their short and long-term needs.

Michele Olsen, Esq. is a partner at Van Horn & Friedman, P.C. Ms. Olsen has been engaged in the practice of matrimonial and family law since her admission to the Bar in 2002.

Ms. Olsen received her Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University and is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law. She also holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University and a Master's in Social Work (with a focus on psychiatric and drug related issues) from Adelphi University. Ms. Olsen's extensive education and professional experiences make her particularly well suited to assist her clients with the legal, psychological and emotional aspects associated with matrimonial actions.

Deena L. Moskowitz, Esq. is associated with Van Horn & Friedman, P.C., practicing exclusively in all areas of matrimonial and family law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and her Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law in New York City. She was one of few candidates to complete law school in only two years.

Prior to joining Van Horn & Friedman, P.C., Ms. Moskowitz gained extensive experience in the areas of matrimonial and family law, representing clients in all aspects of these specialties, including prenuptial agreements, divorce, custody, child support, equitable distribution, neglect, orders of protection and adoptions.

Kim Goldstein, Esq., works of counsel to Van Horn & Friedman, P.C. Kim's extensive experience is a valuable asset to her clients who require representation in residential and commercial purchases, sales, leasing and refinancing; as well as evictions, property violations, resolution and clearance of title issues, mortgage modifications, and defense of foreclosure proceedings.
